Forget Me Not Vol.1: Chapter 4

 Chapter 4

"Heba… Are we there yet? I'm bored…", expressed Nada. "Four hours left, I guess…", guessed I. "We should play with cards!", suggested Toka. "Oh!!! I'm in…", joined Mariam. "Me, too!", Salma joined. "Me three!!!", Menna added. "Me four!!!!", Sarah adjoined. "Is this the part where I'm supposed to say me five because I really am going to throw up?", consulted Hady sarcastically. "No, actually I think it's the part where someone would tell you to mind your own business so you can still find your tongue in its place!", replied I back savagely. "Okay… Everybody calm down or we would find ourselves thrown off the plane and honestly I haven't practiced air diving and I'm not intending to, at all!", peacemaker Sarah. I was angry so I hit his seat while shifting my attention to the deck of cards. "Seriously!", reacted Hady. "Oh…I'm sorry, ma bad!", apologized I malevolently. I have to say that felt good, but not as good as punching him hard in the face. But, don't worry I will do that part soon enough, with Allah's will. I'm just paving the way. Don't look at me like that! He deserves it. No one messes with my family and expects to walk out of it alive!!! You are so dead, MR. HADY!!!!!

"Are we there yet?", reasked Nada. "Not yet… Patience my dear, dinner is on the way, with Allah's will!", encouraged I. "Really! What could we possibly have for dinner?", excitedly asked Mariam. "Pizza!!!", yelled Salma. "Maybe… We could be having ice-cream!", craved Toka. "Or nothing…", Menna said creepingly. "It can't be…Look! I know their cooking sucks, but they can't be leaving us to starve…", thought Noureen soothingly. "Why would you all have to worry about it anyway? We have our snacks…", calmed Sarah while revealing our stashed bag of snacks from under her seat. We all giggled from our wittiness, I mean seriously who could ever win us! "I smell apple cinnamon pie!", announced Hady sniffingly. "What are you, for Allah's sake? A hound dog!!!", wondered I not forgetting to mention how pissed off he is driving me to be. "Hello… Here you go, ladies!", greeted the flight attendant while handing us our meals. It is apple cinnamon pie! I'm not surprised anyway, it's not a miracle that someone can tell if it's an apple cinnamon pie or not. Let's just not make a big deal out of it! I need to find a way to get rid of him, I have to! This is supposed to be a family trip! I know it's a free country, but still I don't want him here…

"Thank you for your patience!", the pilot announced. "What time is it?", inquired I sleepingly. "It's 6:00 am, Heba… You seem tired?", checked Mariam. "She is ALWAYS tired because she is an INFJ-T…", Salma joined. "She is a night owl, THE REAL NIGHT OWL!", Toka commented. "I'm scared that you would hurt yourself, Heba…", shared Menna. "Don't worry about her! She survived what was worse than THIS…", assured Sarah. "We love you, Heba! We really do…", opened Noureen. "Ladies… You should be picking up your bags before the flight attendant comes by and kicks you out herself!", warned Hady. "Heard you, WET BLANKET!", grumped I. Seriously, what did I ever do in MY life to deserve SUCH A person?!!! We picked our bags, it seems like the whole plane is on American Tourister! You have got to be kidding me… I could use the assistance of colors, so mine is black which means it must be THIS one. Yes, if you were asking if I was the LAST one out! Because I don't want to have my bags confused with anyone. Hady offered assistance for my short stature, but I refused. I can handle this on MY own. I don't usually ask people for help, I'm a strong independent woman! Yup, indeed I'm. "Ladies… To the aisle!", directed I. My favorite walk of all, just the sound of the wheels… The marching steps of the passengers to a New adventure! It's EVERYTHING!!! Everyone needs an adventure, it's soul freeing! Anyway, to Norway… Here we come, embrace yourself for the cold!!! It's Autumn though, but still… It must be colder!

"It's time to get our bags back!", said I enthusiastically. "Do we have to carry them?", asked Mariam exhaustedly. "Why would we when we can have a carrier?", said Toka easily. "I hope we can find one now…", prayed Menna. "Let's just focus on finding our bags now!", focused Salma. "Here is one… Pink, definitely Mariam!", Sarah grabbed the bag handing it to Mariam while Mariam couldn't help herself but giggle. "Yellow… That's mine! Grab it, quick!!!", urged Nada while having my assistance for it. "That's a purple isn't it? Mariam help me, run!!!", Menna rushed Mariam while both pulling out the bag at the same time, twin power I would say. They are so lovely, I pray that Allah would always protect them. "Lavender…My beautiful lavender!!!", admired Noureen while following it out and picking it up prestigious, did she just practice the whole thing out? Loved the catch...I'm worried about mine, I pray it doesn't get messy! "Sky blue… That's definitely something Sarah would pull off!", deduced I. "Here you go, beautiful…", Mariam complimented while handing her out the bag. "Burgundy… Incoming!!!", announced I for Salma to pay attention. "Here you go!", Hady put my bag behind while holding out his bag at the same time. "You didn't need to do this, I can finely do it myself!", refused I. "Really! Then, how come it passed in front of you the first thing without paying attention…", cornered Hady. "Because I have a family to care about, unlike YOU!", stated I confidently. "Whatever…", backed up Hady and left. I don't care if it hurt his feelings or not, but family comes first! "Let's go, ladies! We need to find ourselves a carrier for our Über ride…", lead I. I pray that I would never see him again, he irritates me so much!

"Could you please help us with bags, we need to find an Über ride?", requested I. "Toka…Did you find our Über ride?", Mariam asked while walking by her side. I love their love for each other, honestly. Every time they're together, they love taking that lap photo. They look so happy, I love watching them so. It makes me happy too, seeing how happy they are…" How much, Mr.? ", inquired Nada while we were busy taking care of the bags. "20, if you please…", replied the carrier. Nada handed him the money in the most considerate of ways, I love her kindness. I love the fact that the world couldn't change that strand in her no matter how hideous it got. "Salma… Are we missing anything?", Menna called out. "Nope… We're ready to go!", assured Salma after doing a thorough check up. Salma and Toka have this amazing entrepreneurship that they promised themselves of doing when we were young. I love seeing them shine so bright, like stars in the night. They cope well together! As for Nada, she designs amazing playgrounds for children of all ages, I have to say she's really gifted that kid NEVER lost it. She was the first friend of mine and we still are. We love playing card and board games with each other. She loves cats and dogs, but cats mostly. She is a bike rider with a child spirit. She is the youngest of her family. I love her! And for Noureen, she grew up to be the most adorable HR ever. I'm proud of her! She loves to sing to us and I love to listen to her… "Heba… Come on, we have 5 minutes left before our ÜBER ride is here!!!", rushed Menna. "Give me your hand! You were daydreaming, didn't you?", Noureen laughed and I laughed back. They know me, but they don't know what I was telling you. I'm usually a shower not a teller…

"Where to, if I may ask?", asked the ÜBER driver. "Follow the GPS assigned location, if you please!", guided Toka. "If you say so…", replied the ÜBER driver whilst starting the engine. "Heba… Are there still some cookies left?", inspected Mariam while fetching for the backpack that Sarah carries. "Sarah… Would you please check it out for her?", requested I. "One row left!", scanned Sarah. "Finders Keepers!!!", celebrated Mariam. "You're like 90% cookies and 10% coffee…", calculated Menna, the poor thing doesn't even like Math. Neither do I, honestly! "Heba… Do you have some water?", asked Nada, looking pale. She seemed shy of asking earlier. "Here you go, Nada! I have the bottle, you can have it all…", Toka replied kindly while handing her the bottle. She was just keeping it with her because I told her so, I have a right deformed shoulder. Not borne with it though, acquired it actually… "Look… Ladies, I don't mean to disturb you, but I could really make use of some of sleep here!", Noureen was annoyed at us, I could tell it from her tone. Although she slept, you can say she is a sleeping beauty. It's important for her, I have to respect that! " Heba… I don't mean to annoy you or anything, but why does it seem like Hady? ", said Mariam while carefully examining the car moving next to us. "No… It can't be! It just can't… That would be too much coincidence I would say!", that pissed me off. "But, didn't you used to say there's no such a thing as coincidence… You always say that there's a reason behind everything!", cornered Menna. "Except him… It must be an error!", objected I. "But… You're highly intuitive!", recalled Toka. "Are you on my side or his?!!!", closed I the topic. "Come on, ladies… Just let her be!", Sarah froze them. "Thank you!!!", I was grateful for Sarah, I just wasn't ready to open the topic yet… I needed time, I just NEED time!

"Noureen… We're here!", Toka woke her up. "Mariam…I want you to look through the window and tell if he is here or not!", said I undercover. "Actually Heba, I can't find him here…", comforted Mariam. I sighed one deep sigh, finally I can officially say we're going to enjoy this! "Everyone is going to unload his own bags, okay!", warned Menna. "As if we asked!", Noureen said. "Don't be lazy! Plus… She's right!", confirmed Salma. "I was going to say so, but it seems like Menna got there before me", chuckled Sarah. "I wanna move my legs!!!", Nada pushed her way out of the car, I won't blame her. It was a long drive, not forgetting to mention a 12 hours flight. A flight that long and you start to worry about Deep Venous Thrombosis! Anyway, we're here and Hady isn't. I wanna scream out of happiness, but it's a public place. So, I guess I'm gonna scream internally till we check in our rooms. We are gonna have the biggest room ever, it won't be nice at all if we split rooms. It would just defy the whole purpose… Time to check in, now that's one fancy inn. Love it! We arrived just on time, I pre-booked everything. I was scared that I would do it wrong in any way or even worse, wait in a hotel till we book our stay in at the hotel on a different date if there appeared to be some mix up.

"Hello, ladies…Do you happen to have a reservation?", asked the receptionist. "Yes… Yes, we do! It's no. 5…", informed I while handing the receipt. "Heba… Look behind, but SLOWLY!", Mariam whispered. "Not now, Mariam…", refused I while listening to the receptionist guiding us to where we would be staying. "How about, NOW?", Mariam pinched me. "What?!!! Oh…", I took a sudden look beside and I returned my focus to the receptionist. Just a coincidence… I kept telling myself that all the way to our some sort of mini house.
