Forget Me Not Vol 1: Chapter 1
Chapter 1
That miserable loud ringtone! Why
would it possibly go on, on that time, now? Wait for it!!! I'm catching
something!!!!! Oh…It's the most important day of my life!!! Shhhh!!!!! Be
quiet! I have to surprise them. I know how!!! First, wake them up in the most
horrible way. Second, make it up to them with the most wonderful breakfast, at
the most wonderful restaurant, in Paris. Then, hit them with the news and wait
for their reaction.
"Wake Up You Miserable Singles!!!!!
Wake Up!!!!!", shouted I. "Are You Crazy?!!! What's wrong with you
woman??!!!!", screamed out Mariam while throwing at me a pillow.
"Heba!!!We're tired!!!!", Toka yelled. "What's all that
noise??!!!!", exclaimed Nada on her way out of the bathroom. Oh! I forgot to
tell you that Nada is an early bird. "Good morning, tomato!!!",
saluted I. "You little… I was just about to finish my dream!!!",
Salma said crazily. "For the love of God, Heba!!! I have been studying all
night long for my PhD!!!!! I need some sleep!", complained Sarah.
"What's up Doc?", replied I. "Fine, Ollie!!! Now, can we get
back to sleep?!!!", pleaded Sarah. "No, get up!!!", objected I.
"Or bear the consequences!!!!!", threatened I. "Now… Where on
earth is Noureen?!!!, interrogated I." You know where she is!!! Downstairs
singing and hanging out with Menna. Oh!!! And on your way, tell Menna to get me
some coffee. I could really make use of it!!! ", demanded Mariam."
We're here down here!!!!!", shouted out Menna and Noureen, at the same
time." In coming!!!", yelled I excitedly. They have got no idea
what's waiting for them. I can't wait to tell them!!!
"Menna… Seriously, I have no idea how
you have the strength to endure that much of coffee!!!!!", exclaimed I.
"Heba… Don't worry, we're all gonna die! So why don't we take sometime to
enjoy our stay here?!!!", casually stated Menna. "She has a
point!", pointed out Noureen. "Which side are you with?!!!",
demanded I agitatevely. "FYI… I ain't gonna do any CPR for any of you, YOU
COFFEE ADDICTS!!!!!", threatened I. "Let them die in peace!!!",
shouted out Mariam while rushing downstairs. "Here comes The LION!",
stated I cynically. "Hello, Closed-minded!!!", hitted back Mariam.
"Morning, MBTI-Non Believer!!!", replied I sarcastically. "Stop
fighting!!!", whined the rest while heading downstairs.
"So what are we gonna have for
breakfast?", earnestly inquiring Toka. "I wanna have coffee,
first!!!", Mariam demanded. "I am making you one, hang on
there!!!", keeningely said Menna. "I wanna have Omelette!!!",
said Nada bouncingely. "We want Pancakes!!!", said Toka and Noureen
at the same time. "Me and Sarah want to have Omelette with Nada",
joined Salma. "Menna… Would you like to have Croissant with me?",
suggested I. "Sounds great!!! Can we have smoothie, too?", asked
Menna purchingly. "Of course… Anything for, my dears!!!", happily
stated I. "Heba, you're the best!!!!!", screamed out all. I couldn't
say anything but make sure that I remember every single second of that moment.
So I smiled. I'm blessed!
"Okay, then you better get dressed
now because you don't want to be late for breakfast!", noted I.
"What?!!!", all exclaimed simultaneously. "What what?!!! Get
dressed you lazy single coffee addicts", yelled I. I could feel their
confusion, but that's okay. To my surprise, that was done quickly. They seemed
eager to know what was on my mind. But now isn't the right moment. I hide the
surprise in my cross bag, scared that I would forget about it. I have to say
that today they wore out their best outfits and that made me so happy. Seeing
them happy, makes me happy! "Breakfast time single ladies!!!",
shouted I out excitedly while heading downstairs to outside our rented
apartment. It's rented, but beautiful! Life of a minimalist was, is and would
be the life I always wished/wish for…
"Über?", inquired Mariam.
"Nope… on foot!", replied I. That was getting more exciting. "So
where are we heading?", Toka asked. "The most beautiful restaurant in
Paris!!!", happily replied I. "You have got to be kidding
me!!!!!", astonishingly replied Noureen. "Heba… Are you
alright?!!!", concerningly asked Sarah. "Perfectly fine!!!",
confidently replied I. "Is it too far?", asked Nada worriedly.
"Nope… Not at all!", assured I. "Heba… How exactly far?!",
asked Salma hesitatingly. "Salma…I know I suck at Math, but not that
much.", confirmed I. "I ain't moving until I know how exactly
far", demanded Menna stubbornly. "15 minutes far… Happy
now?!!!", yelled I hastily. "Okay, single ladies… We would better get
going!!! I didn't like my former coffee…", whined Mariam dramatically. I
could tell Menna was turning to a tomato by now. But what you don't know about
Mariam and Menna is that they are strongly bonded twins. That is Mariam's way
of telling Menna that she wants an excuse to justify her coffee addiction!
"I told you it's 15 minutes
away!!!", gladly stated I. Honestly, I was scared that the garcon wasn't
telling the truth. But, don't tell them I told you so! "To our
astonishment, it's true!!!", shockingly stated Mariam. I won't blame her
because I have a pleasant history of getting lost in Paris. To the extent that
I lost count! "God, I'm so hungry!!!", Toka whined dramatically.
"Patience is the key to a full stomach!", edited I. "Wasn't it
the key to success?!!", bewildered Menna. "Well… It works out both
ways!", shouted I. "Says who?!!", Salma demanded. "Me…
Smarty pants!!!", composedly stated I followed by chuckling. "Guys… I
really appreciate your critical thinking, but I really am starving!",
hangrily pleaded Sarah. "Wow… We're gonna have breakfast, here!!!",
exclaimed Nada while jumping out of excitement. Nada doesn't like fast food, I
hope she loves it! "Don't you just looove breakfast?!!!", cried
Noureen. "Come on!!!", summoned I. Here we are, few steps away, from
a marvelous breakfast and a shriek-driving surprise!
“So...Are you ready to order your
breakfast?”, wondered I. “Yaaah, just a sec...I’m checking out the menu, maybe
I would like to try out something new!”, suggested Mariam. “How about you
Toka?”, inquired I. “I believe I’m with Mariam on this!”, agreed Toka. “Omg!!!
They serve a variety of coffee types!”, excitedly announced Menna. “ This looks
VERY delicious!!!”, said Sarah starvingly. “I didn’t know the various ways to
prepare eggs till I went to this restaurant...”, said Nada surprisingly. “Me
and Noureen are considering to have a smoothie and French toast…”, announced
Salma.
"Garcon! We would like to order now,
if you please?", requested I. "Bonjour! It's good to see you again,
Miss Heba…", greeted he. "Good to see you too, Philip!", replied
I. "One waffle with surprising toppings and one Mango Smoothie.",
ordered I. "One Coffee-New on menu and Pancakes with weird toppings",
hoped Mariam. "One Cappuccino and a Croissant En Chocolate!",
ensuthiasticly craved Menna. "I would love to have Omelette and some
Orange Juice!", predictably added Nada. I'm glad that she liked it here!
"Like Mariam, please…", synchronized Toka. "Double Strawberries
Milkshake and French Toast for us", added Salma while pointing to her and
Noureen. "Sarah… It's your turn!", calling out on her. She seemed to
be distracted by the beauty of the place. I won't blame her. It's indeed
mesmerizing! "Oh… Sorry, I want like you Heba!", agreed Sarah.
Honestly, I felt happy about it. It's good to have an eclectic taste!
"Okay, young ladies! 15 minutes and you'll have the most delicious
breakfast in Paris!!!", excitedly announced Philip and then left quickly
to amaze us. Oh, God…I love it here! But, now I have to work out on the
entrance of my surprise. I just need time…
"Breakfast is served!", surprised
us Philip. "Philip… You're the BEST!!!", honored I. "Anything
for you, Heba…", gladly replied Philip. After he left, everyone looked at
me. I laughed hardly inside. I told them that there was nothing from what was
on their mind, so they stopped. I'm a popular loner, what should I do?!!
"So… Tell me, do you love it?", wondered I. "Love won't describe
it enough!", flirted Mariam with her order. "Heba… You're indeed
Wise-Smart!", credited Toka. "My coffee saturation levels are
filled!!!", said Menna while sipping from her coffee and eating her
wishes. "I love the concept of omelets with orange juice", typically
architectural statement from Nada. Meaning she was so happy! "Screw you
PhD!!!", yelled Sarah while operating on her meal. "Oh,
YEAH!!!", replied I sharing her excitement. "I love it sooo much that
I want to sing with the highest of pitches!", chantingly favoring Noureen.
"This is the healthiest thing I have Ever eaten in MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!",
confessed Salma proudly. My family is happy, so I'm happy! I have prepared my
words, I just need the perfect time…
"Oh Allah…I feel like I'm gonna
explode out of happiness!!!", saying so while barely being able to take my
breath in. "This is the BEST breakfast EVER!!!", cheerfully stated
Mariam. "I wanna do THIS everyday!", craved Menna. "Me
TOO!!!", saw Toka eye to eye. "I feel like I wanna write a song about
it…", contemplated Noureen. "I wish mom was here, she would have
definitely loved it. And dad, too…", desired Nada. Nada loves her family
so much, she is the smallest of them all. All you have to do is look into Her
eyes and you will see it! "I shall go here when I'm out of
concepts!", decided Salma being inspired by the peaceful thought provoking
environment of the place. "I wanna finish my PhD here, I suck at
cooking!", divulged Sarah. "Me too, dear!!!", concurred I.
Should I tell them now?
"Remember guys when we dreamt about
living in Paris…", recalled I. "Yah… Who knew OUR dream would become
a reality!", astonishingly stated Mariam. "The city of love!!!",
praised Menna. "Amazing Med Schools…", contemplated Sarah. "
Breathtaking outings…", recalled Toka. "Sports clubs…", added
Nada. "The Eiffel Tower!", shouted Salma. "Car rides…",
desired Noureen. "Where's the check?!", pondered I.
"Sorry for the delay, young
ladies!", suddenly appeared Philip. "What took you so long?!",
demanded I. "Heba, we're not the ONLY ones here!!!", scolded Mariam.
"Thank you, Philip!!!", all of us said simultaneously. "You're welcome
my ladies!", gladly replied Philip. "OMG! Heba, this is TOO
much!!!", exclaimed Menna. "Show me!", demanded Toka. "I
wanna see it, too!!!", joined Salma. "What about me?!!", jumped
Nada excitedly. "Are we gonna go to jail now?!! I'm too beautiful to be
put in there! I don't wanna be a professional singer there for money!!!",
anxiously stated Noureen. "Oh, dear! We're spendthrifts…", shockingly
stated Sarah dropping the receipt from her hands. "Then, I shall be a jail
graphic designer to make the prisoners more approachable…", imagined
Menna. "And I shall code for prison break!", said Mariam wickedly
throwing the idea. "How many times do I have to remind you that we're
MILLIONAIRES?!!!", yelled I while writing the check and calling out for
Philip to thank him for the amazing breakfast.
"So… Heba what TRULY brought US,
here?", pleaded Toka. "What?!! Can't I just have a decent breakfast
with MY family by bond?", replied I mischievously. "Heba…the
TRUTH!!!", demanded Mariam. "Calm down!!!", replied I
sarcastically. "Okay, NOW I wanna know!", jumped off Nada excitedly.
"What are you up to, Heba?", stared Menna suspiciously. "Is it
an adventure?", wondered Salma. "Heba… Tell US, please!",
pleaded Sarah. They gathered together and started whispering amongst each
other. Trying to read my mind, but obviously failing though. I couldn't help
myself, but laugh. Noticing how pathetic and beautiful their trials were, I
decided to tell them." Well, I'm gonna tell you! But, I have to know first
if you have clothes for winter…", paused I giving them time to react.
"More than we have?", doubtfully inquired Mariam. "Oh, for God's
sake!!! Thicker than that??!!! I'm already twice my size in that stuff. More
than that and they would roll me on the floor!", sarcastically complained
Menna. "On fashion? Because honestly I don't mind, I didn't even like the
last winter collection!", stated Toka. "Mountain climbing?",
concluded the rest. "You know I'm afraid of heights!!!", mentioned I.
"Tell US!!!", all of shouting impatiently. "How about a place
where the lights can dance in the sky?", surprised I while revealing eight
plane tickets.
