Forget Me Not Vol 1: Chapter 10

 Chapter 10

I cried myself to sleep. Hurt myself with the broken glass. Shed my tears to have a river on the floor. I hugged the floor and the floor hugged me. Mariam could hold it no longer, so she rushed into the room and picked me up the floor calling out for them to help her out saying: "I'm so sorry my dear, I really am…". Covering me with the bed sheets so I shall have something to hug me, I slept with sorrow.

Morning came and so did my family once again, they seemed concerned for my health. I didn't stop crying because it didn't stop hurting. Like two parallel lines, waking side by side. Sarah tried to feed me something, but all I would allow was water. Water helps me stay grounded, I needed it. I'm a healer, but still a healer needs a healer too. I'm the sponge absorbing the pain of the others and letting it out in the water. The ocean is my outlet, that's why I have those ocean eyes. Then the thought broke in again to remind me: He was my lost…

Why did he leave? But, how would he know? Such a thing only happens once in a lifetime, how am I even supposed to find it once more? I got into the loop, I need an outlet… "Mariam… I need to say goodbye!", hastily decided I. "Where do you think you're going?!!!", Mariam tried to halt me. "It's time…", I passed her to get myself ready. Just one more look was all I needed…

"Madame Jennifer… I'm sorry, for all of this!", apologized I shamefully. "Oh this… Never mind my dear! It is not as if it's the first time…", Madame Jennifer assured me. "What do you, Madame?!!!", Mariam questioned suspiciously. "Aurora did it, she passed through the same cycle!", she rewinded. "MAMA… Cycle?!!!", I sat down comprehending the amount of bizarreness coming out from The Old Lady. "Oh my dear… You have so much ahead to find! She told you her story, didn't she?", The Old Lady tilted her head to see my facial expressions approving her inquiries. "Yes… Yes, she did! It was Hady the whole time…", admitted I tearfully. "Did you set them up?!!!", Menna doubted. "Oh nooo, my dear… Not at all! They're old souls longing to be reunited once more…", The Old Lady said cheerfully. "But… He's gone! What are the chances?", Toka denied her spirit. "The thing about old souls that they always, with God's will, find a way to each other again…", The Old Lady rested her back on the swinging chair. She continued by saying, "Your journey reached an end, it's time to find home! Your true home…", she turned her head to see the Aurora through the window. Signaling for the rest to leave her alone so she could rest seemingly to be tired after taking care of me and my family. Where are you Hady? How can I possibly find you once more? How…

At the doorstep, Omega was waiting earnestly for my recovery. I could hear him barking the day I got rogue, it seemed that that day was the climax of The Dark Phoenix's emergence. I thank God that no one was in the room but me. I still had the bandages on, but no one could see the stitches of my heart and the cracks in my soul. I'm good at hiding, but then there comes a point where you cry because you can't open the juice box. Being an INFJ has its ups and downs, I'm just making sure that I focus on the collateral beauty. It was my last chance to say goodbye to Omega, so I have spent about half an hour with him using every game that would come across my mind. Just anything that would leave me with good memories! When someone asks an INFJ what their bad memories are, there would be a pause… It's hard to tell when you're someone who was born in the darkness itself. So you would reach a point where you can easily recognize the light, even if it was only a spot! It's enough for us, INFJs…

Chris was coming towards us with tools, most probably to redecorate the whole room after the striking demolition that The Dark Phoenix would cause. Saluting him was a goodbye for an INFJ and thank you for the rest, we went off. I couldn't stop myself from staring at the Aurora, me and her were ONE. I'm her and she is me! Toka had to hold my hand most of the time because I daydream most of the time, like 99.99% to be exact. We had to have breakfast before packing our bags, it's gonna be a long way back. We need that strength…

The farewell breakfast was amazing, like a piece of heaven. They had all the kind of fresh juices you could ever imagine, so I chose Mango (My favorite). They had Cinnabon, can you even imagine?!!! J'adore when it's classic, though I don't mind other types. It's just nothing can beat Classics… You should have seen the croissants, so delicious that I had to get the chocolate one for our way back to the airport. A small snack won't do bad! Not forgetting to mention the donuts paradise, stuffed ones are the best. They should probably call it "Donuts Surprise", you can't miss eclairs though! As for the cereals, it was perfect!!! It's genius that someone could come up with the idea of having cinnamon cereals. I would flirt with it the WHOLE meal, like "Hey beautiful, what's up?" and the cereal would be like "Too hot!!!" What you saw there is only a portion of my daydreaming… Awesome, right? Anyway, the Finale would be hot drinks. It's like repenting daily for not being able to resist the marvels of breakfast wonders. We talked, enjoyed, laughed and teared before we had to kiss our breakfast goodbye. We can't miss the plane…

"This was The MOST Amazing Breakfast EVER!!!", Mariam said while throwing herself into her bed. "Indeed!!!", joined I. "I can't believe we're leaving…", Toka said in disbelief looking around the place almost kissing the walls. I didn't know that they would love it that much, wow! "How about we kidnap Omega?!!! He really is a good dog after all…", said Nada enthusiastically. "Oh, Nada… Knock it off! Poor Omega, you're gonna take him away from home!!!", Menna shamed her. "Easy… Just an idea!", Salma reasoned Menna. We laughed just at the thought of it, I mean Omega would be glad to be with us but I can't do this to The poor Old Lady. She might have a heart attack! "Heba… Some serious talking over here, please? What are you going to do about it? Hady…", Sarah asked innocently. I didn't know what to say, trying to gather out a useful sentence I baffled. As an INFJ, our mouth isn't that co-operative with our mind. Speeches are cool, you write it down and then just say it out loud in the most captivating of methods. But, nothing was out…

"We need to pack ladies, quick!!!", Noureen urged hoping that one of us would pack out the bags for her. Not a chance, unless I wanted to keep myself busy. I couldn't get it out of my head, none of us seemed to. Every now and then, one of us would try to reopen the subject but ends up hesitating. Until a moment hit Mariam pushing her with fury and agitation to say: "I can't hold this any longer, I'm gonna tell her!!!" Everyone else seemed to be looking at her in an attempt to stop her, but useless it was. She said: "While you were out there in the dark forest, The Old Lady gave Hady something…" I sat down slowly, urging her to go on. So she did, "I don't quite know what was in the small sack, but I do know what it said…" She gathered all the possible strength she could have to say, "When Hady read it out loud, it said: When The Time Comes…". I stood up once more to say, "What do you mean by this? What time?!!! Couldn't you know what was in the sack?" Mariam shrugged her shoulders, but seemed to remember something, "Wait… That Sack wasn't any normal sack, it was black having Forget Me Nots on it! I guess, as far as I can remember…" I kept walking round the room, looking through the window at the Aurora. I thought maybe I could find some answers only to find myself interrupted by Toka irked saying," Seriously… This Old Lady must be driving the original habitants crazy not forgetting to mention freaking out the tourists!!!" I couldn't help but shake my head in agreement, but it seemed I wasn't the only one shaking it in disbelief. Putting everything aside, The Old Lady seems to know exactly what she is saying. As if she had seen this before, several times conjecturing it. I wish I could know what it meant, but I'm not her…

After two hours straight, we finished packing. Making sure nothing was left behind, we rested assured. But, I still needed answers before we went back there. I found myself suddenly stating, "We need to pay The Old Lady one last visit, I deserve answers!!!" They looked at each other in amazement and a sense of encouragement to follow my lead. Took them 5 seconds to stand up and join in. To The Old Lady it was!

"Allow me…", Mariam paused all of us in front of the door step to owe the pleasure of knocking on the door. "Coming!", a far away voice announced. The door seemed in need of maintenance as she struggled to open it on the first try out, only to succeed in her third attempt. She looked surprised, conjecturing that she quite didn't expect another visit after the tornado that hit her room, leaving it in bad shape for Chris to get it back in shape as quickly as possible. "Good afternoon, my dear… I thought you already left!", The Old Lady was left in disbelief as we got in after saying good afternoon back to her. "We were… But… I couldn't!!! I need more answers, please Madame Coots…", pleaded I. "Well… Do you have time for tea?", The Old Lady looked at us for affirmation. "Yes, please!!! We got heavy on breakfast…", Toka said while relaxing up a bit on the first couch that could hit her eyes. "Green Tea with mint for ALL, it is!", The Old Lady got into the kitchen carefully stepping over the ruins remaining. Whilst she was busy preparing the tea, I walked around the place staring at the frames hung up the walls. She was in every one of them, attending ceremonies apparently. My eyes kept scanning for any familiarities, till I bumped into a frame placed on the fireplace. The frame fell off quickly, but luckily there was a rug nearby absorbing the impact. When I looked up, they all seemed freaked out that I would bring her place upside down adding more sabotaging to her home sweet home indicated by the doormat. Followed by an exhalation of relief from catastrophe tackling.

"Tea is ready! Hope you like it…", The Old Lady walked in with the tray resting it on the coffee table. Helping each one of us with her cup, she said: "I see you have found Aurora…" I looked closer examining the picture held inside, she looked beautiful. It was their wedding, done on the Islamic way. Her dress was in Wisteria color, beautiful as ever. Holding on tight to the frame, I asked: "I wanted to know what did Hady get to have on that day?" I came to join their sit, embracing my tea cup for more weirdness coming in the way. "Oh, that's simple! Aurora's wedding rings…", she shrugged her shoulders so peacefully whilst sipping from her hot cup of tea then looking back at us only to find herself faced with our fury, mine particularly that I couldn't help but say, "YOU DID WHAT?!!!!!"
